Meet Adaptive Hydroᵀᴹ

How it Works

Overview

We utilize a siphon system that collects the upstream water and carries it over the dam to the outflow where it is connected to an Adaptive Hydroᵀᴹ module.

Step 1: Intake

Our siphon system sits at the head of the dam to channel the water for transport. We install proprietary screens at our intakes that passively deflect debris and wildlife which reduces the hazard potential and maintenance needs.

Step 2: Water Transport

The water is then directed to the outflow of the dam, where it is connected to an Adaptive Hydroᵀᴹ module. The siphons are supported by tension wires or are otherwise routed to avoid any contact with the dam. This limits regulatory hurdles and avoids unnecessary stress on the dam.

Step 3: Generation

At the base of the dam sits an Adaptive Hydroᵀᴹ module which is connected to the siphons. At the end of our siphons the accelerated water exits, making contact with the turbines. The turbine's rotation is then converted into electricity with onboard generators.

Step 4: Utilization

The electric generators are then connected to devices for local consumption or conditioned for interconnection with the grid.
